Our Foundation

A Legacy of Joyful Zeal and Veritas in Action

Rooted in Dominican tradition and Marian devotion, we serve the marginalized with compassionate care and education in Warri Diocese.

Our Origins

From Warri Diocese to Global Mission

The Missionary Sisters of Jesus and Mary were founded in 2018 by Bishop Alfareha in Nigeria's Warri Diocese, establishing a vibrant presence for Christ among the underserved. Our roots trace back to the Great Bend Sisters in the USA, fostering a rich heritage of service.

Our Charism

Marian Devotion, Dominican Truth

Our spirituality is deeply rooted in the Blessed Mother's prompt 'yes' to God, inspiring our urgent tenderness in every encounter. We strive to bring Veritas in action to the marginalized, fostering catechetical grounding and courageous presence.

This contemplative foundation fuels our active preaching, extending Christ's maternal care through essential healthcare, education, and catechetical outreach. We serve with joyful zeal, echoing Mary's unwavering commitment to God's will.

Our Enduring Promise

Faithful Presence in the Heart of Rural Missions

We commit to walking alongside marginalized women and children, bringing the light of Christ and the warmth of maternal care to every corner of underserved regions.
